Diana’s strategy for success revolves around hardwork and dedication alongside talented horses with an experienced coach and team surrounding her. It is underpinned by generous and supportive sponsors.
Markus Bauer has coached Diana for many years. Since October 2010 she has kept her horses at his yard in East Sussex. She therefore benefits from the support and encouragement of the whole team, in particular Markus’ wife Gaynor who also plays an active role in her training. All this enables Diana to push her boundaries and therefore get the best out of herself and her horses. Markus himself is a fully qualified German Bereiter and has competed internationally for Denmark.
Diana currently competes in Grade III Para Dressage classes and Medium Able-bodied classes. In 2014 she competed in both the Winter and Summer Open Para Championships on her top horse Nick. The combination also completed their first 3* International at Hartpury in July. 2014 also saw the the start of Diana’s young horse Kira’s competition career. She has quickly progressed from prelim to novice with many wins already under her belt.
Diana has been a member of the BEF Excel Talent Squad funded by Sport England. Through this she has benefitted from additional training in areas such as nutrition, psychology and strength & conditioning.
